Maori rock science summary.

Along the Wellington coast, there are many aincent pa lines.

Imangine a thriving trade route, in which waka are ferring rocks back and forth along the coasts of both islands.

Mudstone can be easy to flake pounamu on the other hand, its extreamly tough so tough that it could not be flaked.

Early Maori knew of all the main rock types found in Aotearoa.

They also understood how each rocks characteristics made it suitalbe for particular uses.
