Google maps

This week we have been doing stuff on Google maps and the teacher made up one for us about camp so we could go on it and do some work and answer some questions. We could also see what we would be up to while we were at camp. 

Te Whare iti

We made up a model of a tiny house we had squared paper and  we all had the same sized paper and we had to make a small but liveable house.

Translation/Reflection/Rotation

We have also been doing work with this on squared paper and we had to have a shape and then reflect and translate or rotate and reflect etc.

Meeting what now.

OMG!!!

On Wednesday What Now came to Greymouth down up the train station and it was so exciting. We got to perform a haka for them and a song. After the song Kahya and I got to give them some Harakeke flowers and then they gave us a hug and then we got gunge from Bianca and Chris I got mine from Bianca and Kahya got her's from Chris, then Springfield school gave the rest of the kapahaka group and bottle of gunge each.

Bubbl.us

I learnt about bubbl.us it is a good website were you can plan a story so you can do a brainstorm and then you can write up your story.

Te Toamaha

We started making a model of a mall and wrote what shops we were going to have and then we wrote it up on a squared piece of paper and each car park costs $200 and each sqare for the shop and the walking space cost $500 and we had to colour code the shops on the spread sheet and then write it out on the sqaured paper.

Writing
This week I did my writing and it was about Circle of fire. Our WALT is to entertain the reader and try to use desciption and similies.

Buddy Reading

We have been doing buddy reading where the tuakana pair up with their teina and read to them and I am with Xalia and she is getting a lot better a reading everytime.

Kahoot

The teacher has been doing Kahoot with us and it is were we get to do quizzes with the class and try to get in first place and it is sometimes really hard but really fun.

Banqer

We have resently done a Code.org or a Stop animation for kiwi bank so that we can say thank you to them for sponcoring us for banqer so that we can learn how to manage our bank accounts. P.S Special Thanks to Kendall and Kiwi Bank for sponcoring us. 

Week 2, 3 reflection

Banqer
Resently on our Banqer accounts we have been able to buy a house and we get our ren tout of this and see what we wanna buy.

Animal airlines 
Kahya and I finished our animal airlines and we got all the animals we needed and gave them all jobs. We also had to justify them for the reason we thought that they would be good for the job.

I learnt how to set up a flat under a budget of $2000 and there was three of us so we had a budget of $6000

I am learning to do my long mihi and here is my visual mihi.



Maths
For maths this week I have been working on my Taku Mokai were we have a $5000 budget and you have to get a pet or a couple of pets and then you have to get them food for a year, Housing/Bedding and accessories and you cannot go over your budget.

Writing

For writing this week I have been working on a slide for Animal airlines with Kahya and we have put in picture of our workers and our writing about why we thought they would be good for the job.

Miss Panther Came and taught us the blogger life cycle and we got to make up our own one.

Variety Bash

Today the Variety Bash Came to our school and there were big fire engines and Big cupcakes on the roof and there were mustangs and lots of different and cool cars it was so fun and you got to go around with a bag and get lots of goodies from the people in the vehicles.

There was lots of toys that they gave and you could get things like Toothbrushes, Chips, lollies, glowsticks pencils and sharpeners and so much more things and it was so cool.

The boys were going around with shaving foam and then they were throwing it at each other and rubbing it everywhere. 

The Variety bash drives around and does stuff for charity.
After the parade left this man named Super Hubert camem and did a show for us and he made a block disapear and then he made the rabbit turn around and you coiuld get fizz bars and it was so weird.
